  3. Prior to running this program you may wish to change your CONFIG.SYS file to
  4. increase the number of buffers and files. If you are not familiar with this process, refer to your DOS Manual.

  6. Your CONFIG.SYS file should include these two statement: ie. BUFFERS=25 and FILES=25.
  7.  
  8. The increased number of buffers and files will improve performance especially when using the Screening feature. The BUFFERS and FILES statements may be mandatory for DOS versions 4.0 or earlier.

  10. newSSG Combined has the ability to automatically use your expanded memory if
  11. available. This additional memory makes for faster access to the database
  12. which is especially useful in Screening data.
